JOYCE LOUISE KILLEBREW AUTHOR, CAREER-EDUCATOR, LYRICIST Born in Harlem, New York, Joyce Louise Killebrew attained her bachelor of arts degree in English from the University of the District of Columbia and master of arts in teaching from Trinity University. She taught in the District of Columbia Schools and as an instructor at Prince George’s Community College. An expert in pedagogies, she has developed educational reading programs that foster mastery of literary skills. Having developed new and innovative communication techniques, she has developed creative lyrics and stories for teaching reading skills. Formerly, Mrs. Killebrew was a member of The Washington Teacher’s Union.
